Fade to.... 'NY-Z'

Jay-Z just released a new documentary about the Blueprint 3 leading into the 'Answer the Call: 911' concert he put together in memory of the World Trade Center. It seems like just yesterday when I was warming up the car for my mother. She was getting ready to go to Jay's last concert, I was beyond jealous. When she got home and told me who all his special guests were, I definitely knew it should have been me there and not my moms.

Of course, like everyone else, I had my copy of "The Black Album" a little before it actually came out. So I was anxiously awaited for Fade to Black to hit the theaters. I went to see go it the Sunday of the week it came out. Every performance was crazy. Speaking of which, I need to go buy me a new copy of that documentary.

Once I got a little older I was able to start purchasing my own concert tickets. I think my first Jay-Z concert was The Best of Jay-Z World Tour. Although, R. Kelly dropped out of the tour early, Jay-Z brought enough friends to make up for his absence. Ever since then it's been history, I go to see Jay-Z in concert each time he is in either NY or NJ (Imma stop going to Jersey tho).

When I first heard Jay was giving a concert on September 11, I felt like I was the only person who knew about this show. I basically live on Livenation.com & Ticketmaster. Once everyone found out that he was giving a concert with tickets for only $50, people went nuts. I was only able to get 5 tickets altogether, but it was better than none. I'm sorry but it was nothing like being in that building on September 11, 2010. Even when I watch the concert at home on Fuse, it's still doesn't compare to being in the Garden.
